The aroma is mature and complex. You can trace tones of sap, herbs, leaves and honey. After breathing for some time, slightly balsamic hints become more caramelized and smoky. The flavour is harmonic and balanced, undisturbed by overly prevalent features. It develops nicely in the mouth, with a long, well-structured taste. A smooth, luxurious wine, it’s exceptional in combination with baked camembert, raclette or cheese fondue with fresh baguette and good Alpine bacon.

To support the natural fruitiness and character of this wine, we left it to matur efor 3 years in oak barrels. Maturation in these barrels gives the wine additional richness and intensity in both aroma and flavour.

It has classic Burgundy tones with typical mineral characteristics. It imparts a spicy flavour, combined with notes of wood and balanced tannins. It is an ideal accompaniment to grilled marinated meat.
